Quickbooks Online checkup

If you have an existing QBO account, this service will be my first step in preparing a plan tailored to you and the way you work. I’ll need accountant access to your QBO file so that I can see the basic facts about your business—number of monthly transactions, number of accounts to be reconciled, etc.—all in order to customize your bookkeeping experience with me. No need to worry—I won’t be changing numbers in your file during this process. And besides, any and all changes ever made by anyone are detailed in the audit log of your account.

If you currently have no QBO account, I will be happy to set one up for you, with a Chart of Accounts tailor-made for the way you run your business. Once your books are set up (and assuming ongoing maintenance), your bookkeeping should be ready to run smoothly as your business grows, month after month, year after year.

Catch-up

Has it been a while since your books were up-to-date? Let me catch them up for you. I geek out on things like this.

If your books are a mess (or dangerously close to a mess), I will clean them up so they will be ready for ongoing bookkeeping services, not to mention tax season.

Don’t dread this chore! What you dread about this, I love! Ideally, we’ll connect QBO to your bank and credit card accounts so that statements are pulled automatically.

You need a clear, ongoing picture of where your money comes from and where it goes. Let me make sure that those incoming and outgoing funds are recorded in a way that makes sense as you view your bottom line.

Receipts seem to have magic powers—disappearing, shuffling themselves, and outright reproducing on their own! We can formulate a plan to deal with them. There are several options for making sure copies of them reach me. We’ll choose the method that works best for you. Once I have those pesky, elusive documents, I will make sure they are at your fingertips when you need them.

Have trouble understanding those financial statements? Don’t worry, I would love to help you get (and keep) a firm grip on what all of those numbers mean. We can schedule reviews of the reports on a monthly or quarterly basis, to fit your needs.

Obviously, one benefit of having ongoing monthly bookkeeping services is that you can actually be prepared for tax season—no scrambling and/or panicking at the last minute!
